Star-studded lineup set for Nakivubo Stadium grand opening

Prior to the official opening of Hamz Stadium, also known as the Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds, a list of more than thirty notable Ugandan performers has been made public.

The Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds were renovated a few years ago by Ugandan investor and businessman Hamis Kiggundu, who aimed to make it a more significant sports and commercial center.

Now that his work is complete, the magnificent grounds that were renamed “Hamz Stadium” are ready to formally start holding football games again.

There are 25,000 seats available in the renovated Hamz stadium. In addition, it has dining options, a medical center, a gym, and other amenities.

Sports events including football, netball, basketball, boxing, fireworks, and entertainment will be part of the big opening.

It has been revealed that famous Ugandan performers, such as Rema Namakula, Fik Fameica, David Lutalo, Sheebah Karungi, Bebe Cool, and Alien Skin, will take the stage.

The gates will open as early as 9 am, with admission fees of Ugx50k (Ordinary), Ugx100k (VIP), and Ugx150k (Executive).
