Nigerian young musician Qing Madi has thanked Ugandans for making her dreams a reality.
The young performer recently headlined a concert in Uganda, her first appearance outside Nigeria.
The successful concert retains a particular place in the singer’s heart.
Qing Madi expressed on social media how valuable this experience was to her. Despite being discouraged by others who doubted the concert’s success, she chose to trust her instincts and pursue her passion.
Critics pointed out that she had only been in the music industry for a year and claimed that the concert tickets were excessively expensive.
Despite these reservations, Qing Madi went forward with the performance, and the turnout proved her critics incorrect.
“I had my first concert in Uganda.. the most special day of my musical life so many people discouraged me and said a lot about how it’s too early, how I have only been in the industry for a year plus and how the tickets were overpriced. So many even said no one would attend my concert. But I only listened to what GOD ALMIGHTY said and he approved of it.
It goes without saying that Uganda turned up for me and they showed me true love, one that I will never forget. This would forever be embedded in my soul #pearlofafrica”
