The Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah has asked students in the country to be resilient and focused if they are to be successful in life.
Nabbanja made the call on Sunday while presiding over St. Edward’s Secondary School Day celebrations held at the school premises in Kakumiro district.
Nabbanja, who shared with the students her difficult journey of education, says that if a student is resilient and committed he/she can succeed in life.
Nabbanja encourages students not to be diverted by the conditions of other students but focus on their studies for a better future.
Nabbanja lauded the Brothers of Christian Instructions for the work done in promoting education in the country.
Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirabo Amooti, the Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese, who was the main celebrant of the holy mass, warned that Europe may vanish because they tampered with Nature.
The Bishop appealed to the youth to be God fearing for continuity.
Bishop Kirabo congratulated the Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja for winning the Global Women Inspirational leadership award for her dedicated service to Humanity.
The headmaster St. Edwards Secondary school Bukumi thanked the Government for supporting the school especially in renovations and also enrolling teachers on government payroll.
St. Edward’s Day is commemorated annually by the school as a means of reflecting and planning for the future of the school.
