Pallaso Linked to Assault on Alien Skin’s Home

Police in the Kampala Metropolitan Area are investigating a violent attack that occurred at Kizungu Zone, Makindye Division, in Kampala District on January 2, 2025. The assault left significant damage and resulted in injuries.

The incident was reported by Patrick Mulwana, known by his stage name Alien Skin, a 28-year-old musician and resident of Kizungu Zone.

According to police sources, the attack is believed to have been carried out by a group including Mayanja Pius, alias Pallaso, and others. They are suspected of being involved in aggravated robbery and malicious damage. The victims of the attack have been identified as Nyanzi Joseph, Mugabi Julius, and Becker.

SSP Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, stated in a press release that initial investigations suggest that the dispute began when the suspect and the reporter had a disagreement during a performance at a venue in Buloba, Wakiso District. This argument escalated and led to the violent assault on Alien Skin’s home.

Sources close to the incident reveal that the conflict began at a concert featuring Crysto Panda, where Alien Skin’s group allegedly attempted to prevent Pallaso from performing. When Pallaso eventually took the stage, he made a disparaging comment towards Alien Skin. As Pallaso was leaving the stage, he was reportedly attacked by Alien Skin’s supporters.

Later, the suspects, armed with machetes, pickaxes, hammers, and stones, launched two attacks on Alien Skin’s residence.

According to Mr. Onyango, the first attack took place at around 3:00 AM on January 2, 2025, but was stopped by officers from Makindye Police Station. A second attack occurred at 9:00 AM the same day, causing significant property damage.

“The destruction was severe, with five vehicles sustaining broken windshields and damaged lights, three houses having shattered windows, and a theft of Shs 6 million in cash. Two victims are currently receiving treatment at Mengo Hospital,” he said.

The police are urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
