Embrace Patriotism, National Unity as Uganda celebrates 62 years of Independence

Young people have been encouraged to embrace patriotism and unity to foster national growth and development as Uganda celebrates 62 years of Independence.

This is was during the Independence Night celebrations in Kagadi District.

In Kagadi District, during Independence Night celebrations held at Stella Maris Nursery and Primary School, the Guest of Honor SP Pellan Busingye the Officer in Charge at Kagadi Central Police, urged learners to embrace patriotism, unity, and love for their country.

She (Pellan) emphasized the importance of defending and protecting Uganda from external threats, cautioning against a return to foreign domination.

Mathius Kyaligonza, the school’s director Stella Maris Nursery and Primary School encouraging learners to pursue their dreams through peaceful means and embracing full cycle education.

The event drew various dignitaries, including civil servants, representatives from African Rural University (ARU), Media, parents, learners, and staff members from Stella Maris School.

Today the country is holding her national celebrations in Busia District under the theme, A Recommitment to Secure and Fortify Our Destiny.”

H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to be the Chief Guest at the 62nd Independence celebrations.
