KAGADI

Kagadi District Local Government has launched the construction works on the 12 KM Kiranzi-Katandura-Nguse road estimated to cost 80 million shillings.

While launching the road works in Kiduma Lc1, Kiryanga Sub-County, the Kagadi district RDC Lillian Ruteraho warned engineers to stop sexual harassment against school children and women, but cautioned them on quality work on the road.

The RDC asked locals to always use the right procedures while demanding services from the government rather than protests.

In his remarks, the Buyaga East MP Eric Musana said legislators played their role and lobbied for funds from the government to improve service delivery in the communities.

He asked the residents to use the road for commercial purposes and develop their areas.

Meanwhile, the Kagadi deputy CAO Vincent Kyaligonza asked the residents to embrace commercial agriculture like rearing dairy cattle and coffee growing to enhance household income.

He asked the community to ensure regular maintenance on the road to prolong its durability.
